Interview with Valev Laube – ‘Courage is a ticket to your dreams’.

I am so excited to introduce to all my fans a talented Estonian-born brand manager and designer based in New York City – Valev Laube. We have not yet met each other in one physical location, but we were introduced by powerful women based in New York, like an Estonian dancer Diina Tamm, artist Jaanika Peerna and a power-woman behind the Estonian Cultural Days in New York Kadri Napritson-Acuna.

We have followed each other’s lives with Valev via social media. I instantly admired Valev’s courage to create bigger events and choose challenges which most people would run from.

Even though I thought I am not going to produce more of these kind of interviews he inspired me to make an exception and here it is!

Valev Laube is an Estonian-born brand manager, artist, and designer currently based in New York. He’s an enthusiastic creative mind whose digital designs and social media projects have been the cornerstone of many New York-based festivals, events, and company brands.

Interview with Diina Tamm, who dances through the dots in New York

diinasweetDuring my adventures in New York this time in June 2016 I used my time to meet the new Estonian talents. Uno Habakukk suggested to do an interview with Diina Tamm. He mentioned that she is a very young new talent in New York. I did my research about her online. When I read information about it, I felt insecure whether I am able to manage the meeting with such a rising star.

We met in the hotel, where I stayed, located behind Empire State Building area. When she came in – she emanated warmth and simplicity. Couple of hours passed by talking really fast in my hotel room and it was about the time to finalise. I had the feeling that I met another part of me, who lives her life big and fully and what is most important also without fear. She made my day. How did she do it?  Read the story and find out yourself!  Continue reading

Weekly keys – 30th of Nov till 7th of Dec – Speeding up slowing down in NYC

pilvelohkujadOn my travels from Europe to Mexico or Hawaii I have recently chosen to have a one week stop in NYC. This is a conscious choice – of meeting old and new friends, putting down seeds for my new social tribe there as well new business opportunities as well adjusting to the time zones. Usually it is very busy and I have hardly ever time to even sleep. This time it was different.

Weekly photo blog – At the crossroad in Times Square in NYC

ratimes

This week’s blog picture is from Times Square in New York.

I spent some hours in Times Square around 2 years ago during the evening the first time. I was standing there, breathing in all this madness. The colours, the powerful energy and many people from all over the world coming there for their marriage kisses or pictures or just to tick it off from their bucket list. Continue reading
